2025: Celebrating Faith in the City
​Recently the CTMR Social Justice Group focused on working with the CTMR’s Faith in the City Anniversary Co-ordinator who was appointed to mark the 40th anniversary of the ‘Faith in the City.
The role of the Faith in the City Anniversary Lead Development Officer entails:
# Heightening public and faith community awareness of the historic and ongoing contributions of churches in the Liverpool City Region.
# Reflection on the impact of "Faith in the City" over the past 40 years, including successes and areas for growth.
# Developing and promoting a new "Vision for the City" manifesto, outlining future commitments and roles for church and faith communities in civic and political life.
# Strengthening relationships and dialogue between church leaders and political figures.
Launch of the Manifesto of Hope
Remarkable events took place during 2025 and the highlight of the year was the launch of the Manifesto of Hope in November 2025: Church Leaders, Civic Leaders, NHS representatives, etc gather for a launch event and this will be followed up in due course.
